The May 14 1948 date for the horoscope of Israel is the date of declaration for the statehood of Israel.
Immediately following the declaration was war from the Arab states.

 The operation of the Israeli government began on Tues. Jan 25th, 1949, when voting took place for office.

 Since there is no recorded time for the opening of doors that day,  the chart below is set to reflect the hour in the morning that would emphasizes the 15 cardinal degrees.

 Most countries have more than one significant chart.  This one is meaningful because it is currently operational.

 What is the significance of Neptune there?  How might the Jupiter-Venus in Capricorn squared by Neptune reflect the notion of "excess of love" of the Jewish people for their homeland (?) and the rebuilding of their kingdom, etc.?

 The Mars Pluto opposition speaks of the many conflicts.
  5 Rx planets, I would think this amplifies their strength.

The August 10th full Moon at 18ds Aquarius struck in between Mars Mercury around the time of the war.  The war didn't wait for the Full Moon.
 The Aries 15 Lunar eclipse  squares Jupiter con Venus.
 It aspects  Neptune at 15 Libra, that would be very common due to slow Neptune but could be significant being 4 minutes of arc at 15-09 Libra  , eclipse was 15-05.

This New Moon eclipse will be on Natal Ketu  zero Scorpio.   Just an observation , no idea what it means.

It is possible that this really is a very potent additional chart. At any rate it would seem so particularly if we are right to look at the data for Israel at all prophetically and apocalyptically in the way various theories like those of the red moons tetrad currently encourage some people to do. If the apocalyptic picture is valid then one is looking for clues towards at some stage, perhaps this decade, that amid global and mid East crises, a messianic figure, actually the Antichrist, makes a seven year treaty with Israel which is broken half way through when he is self declared God in a rebuilt temple.

Before too easily dismissing both such prophecy and the possibility of astrologically being able to see it, consider these rather uncanny facts.  On this proposed chart asteroid Israel at 8 Gemini is opposed from 8 Sagittarius by Achristou, an asteroid which empirically, I believe, is the Antichrist asteroid, prominent in charts like those of Satanists. The mystery then deepens when we find that this chart’s Mars at 16.13 Aquarius exactly conjuncts the sun of Jeane Dixon’s alleged Antichrist (b. 1962) at 16.13 Aquarius – some strong attraction and agreement or their complete opposite. Moreover this chart for Israel shows Neptune at 15 Libra, sign of any peace treaties, trine its Mars and the Antichrist’s sun. The Antichrist is also the coming of the great deception and negatively that would be something Neptune, here given an easy entry to affairs by the trine aspect.

We then notice that Israel’s government’s Pluto is at 15.37 Leo. This means, suitably for Israel and prophecy, it’s on a world point, but the most  unfortunate or at any rate difficult one. In the chart for the birth of Christ which I claim very provably to possess  (see Testament of the Magi http://amzn.to/12eP5S8), 15 Leo is conjunct Shaim (i.e. the Hebrew word for “the Name” while beside it at 16 degrees is asteroid Jerusalem where “the Name” (a term for God) especially resides. The connection to Israel’s and still more the Antichrist’s chart is meaningfully apparent.

This includes about the possible significance of 2017, the year in which the August lunar and solar eclipses respectively hit 15 Aquarius and 28 Leo which last for the Antichrist is conjunct his Uranian ruler conjunct Regulus which could well set a person up for world power and influence. It looks as though things could really come to a head for Israel then - if it has not done so before under whatever precisely the red moons prepare. And although the time of this 1949 chart for Israel’s government is speculative, it has the serendipitous peculiarity of a conjunction of Jerusalem at 10 Cancer with its 4th house cusp of any inherited land. Jerusalem, we know, is already highly disputed. Prophecy would have it that it becomes even more so and internationally and at the end of times (or at any rate the age) - “Jerusalem will become a heavy stone for all the peoples” (Zech 12: 3) and many will come but unsuccessfully against it. Sure enough, asteroid Stone squares Jerusalem and this IC from 9 Libra! I wouldn’t propose ridding ourselves of the very working and workable 1948 chart for Israel (which even recapitulates history with factors like Solomon conjunct the Part of Wisdom), but plainly this 1949 chart has something going for it.

In which case I take it that has something to do with the news first of Israel's closure of the Temple Mount area and then Abbas declaring it amounted to a declaration of war and then after the trouble that had caused the closure had died down a bit, Israel re-opening. Although there is nothing in the Koran to support the idea, Muslims especially Palestinians have increasingly laid claim to Jerusalem and the Temple area even to the point of denying there ever was a Solomon's Temple. I am of the opinion that the blood moons have something to do with the super-sensitive and identity defining Temple area the first of the Tetrad having highlighted asteroid Tempel (sic) in the chart for Israel.

I had always used the midnight chart  between May 14 and 15 1948 until doing the following charts which could only have the angles shown using a base time of 4:37 pm or slightly different (1/4 of a degree on the MC) for 4:38 pm May 14th.

The transits to the natal for the beginning of the cease fire is straight forward.

The anlunar came in on the day the cease fire was signed in the Golan Heights. It is based on the Moon in the precessed solar return of the 4:37 pm chart for Israel. Both charts have positive angular components for Israel.
